This is a list of my favorite characters:
1) William Herondale of The Infernal Devices by Cassie Clare
Will was not chosen because I’m obsessed with him. Will is THE best male character ever written. His complexity is just so thought out. I defend him because his past shaped him. The love he holds for everyone around him is just so much better than Jem’s. Yes, he made some a-hole moves, but Will feels hopeless and we all do crappy things when we give up on life. And when we feel like life has given up on yes.
2) Percy Jackson of Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan
We all know Percy Jackson. Many know him as Seaweed Brain. Percy Jackson holds a lot of meaning to me. Once I speak about I start crying. You rarely see Percy anywhere. He’s never in a Crush Tournament or listed as an amazing character. I don’t know why. Percy is extremely caring, he would give up his life for a loved one, and is always willing to admit Annabeth is better. He even said she’s his best weapon, in a good way. Of course I also have another reason for loving him: I have ADHD. People make fun of it and say it’s easy to control, it’s not. I love the fact that Rick Riordan made it as a side-effect of being some hero. I love Percy.
3) Hermione Granger of Harry Potter by JK Rowling
We all love her. She’s tough, smart, and down to earth. Hermione made reading cool. She is also best friends with two boys, not girls. I had this obsession (next to Harry) with Hermione growing up. I wanted to be her so badly it wasn’t even funny.
4) Sophie Mercer of Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins
This girl seriously is hilarious. She could be close to death and still make jokes. Rachel Hawkins is one of those authors that knows how to make an amazing character. I love how Sophie has this hard exterior but such a big Care Bear on the inside. Sophie knows when to ask for help and I love that. I’m pretty sure she made this entire book.
5) Katy Swartz of Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout
She’s a book blogger. What is not to love? She may not be amazing at fighting, but Katy can totally deal with pain. She’s emotionally and mentally strong. I think that beats physical any day.
6) Isaiah of Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry
I love Isaiah. I loved him in every PTL book. I have read CRASH INTO YOU and it was… words cannot express how amazing that book was. Isaiah loves cars, I love cars. That was a total win. He’s deep, understanding, and once you have his trust you’re family. CIY dug even deeper into Isaiah and let me say, you will be amazed.
7) Magnus Bane of TMI & TID by Cassie Clare
Seriously? Do I even have to explain? IT IS MAGNUS BANE HIGH WARLOCK OF BROOKLYN. He’s hysterical and sparkly and like, people, MAGNUS.
8) Katarina Bishop of Heist Society by Ally Carter
Kat is a heist expert. A con-woman. She’s sneaky, smart, and conniving. Kat does everything to protect the ones she loves. Family is everything to her, that’s why I love Kat. Also, she doesn’t let her heart get in the way.
9) Audrey of Audrey,Wait! by Robin Benway
I love Audrey. She’s hysterical and isn’t afraid to speak her mind. I love how she handles all the fame and goes and tells her side of the story. She knows what she has to do and isn’t afraid of doing it.
10) Lady Alexandra of The Season by Sarah MacLean
Alex is one of the best historical fiction characters I have ever read. She is what I would love to be like in the 1800s. She reads and knows her sh- I mean her stuff. Yes, her stuff. She doesn’t take no for answer and expects you to explain the said no. If that makes sense…
There you go, my Top Ten. It was difficult, but I think I did good. Who is your favorite character? And don’t forget to check out my giveaway!
